Consider two gases, A and B, each in a 1 L container of same temperature and pressure. The mass of container A is .34 and B is .48.

a) Which gas sample has the most molecules?
b) Which gas sample has the largest average kinetic energy?
c) Which sample has fastest average velocity?
d) How can the pressure in the 2 containers be equal since gas B molecules collide with the container more frequently?

A believe b) is same because they're at the same temperature and I think d) is because according to the kinetic molecular theory of gases, all collisions between gases are "elastic"

b) Which gas sample has the largest average kinetic energy?
Neither
c) Which sample has fastest average velocity?
Gas A
d) How can the pressure in the 2 containers be equal since gas B molecules collide with the container more frequently?
Wrong! Gas A molecules collide with the container more frequently. But Gas A molecules are also light.
