Oh, they indeed do - unless they themselves are also virgins. It's also just another obvious manifestation of the sexual double standard. If a man expects not to get used goods, why shouldn't a woman expect the same? I guess women need to start demanding pure men (still, how likely is that?). How about instead we respect and love our own and others' sexuality and have as much responsible sex as we want?
This is an excellent question; I think you're absolutely right.

Simply, yes.
TO go a little more complex, such men are usually very insecure about being compared to other men. The easiest target for this fear is sexual performance, but it is really much deeper.
At a basic level, it is the fear of the woman making a comparison.
Of course, these men are being so speculative about their potential partners that they are, of course, objectifying the woman before they have even met her.
It's like saying, "I want THIS!" and the example is, of course, not something that actually exists anywhere but in their imagination and girl's Catholic school.

If it's a matter of "religious purity" - then it's only true if both parties are virgins. Though the double standard does still exist - it is no longer enforced the way it used to be (at least in this part of the world)...
Women are already objectified enough - by men, the media, other women, and even themselves!!!
Anything that can be done to change this attitude is a plus!!!

I don't know about objectification...but if she catches you smelling her, it's going to be a lot worse than if she just caught you staring at her. Your friend's got a point about scent though. I don't know about men to women, but as a female, I ******* love the way my husband smells. It may or may not have to do with pheromones or some ****.

It is a very popular tradition in many 3rd world countries. It is usually dictated by religious and traditional repression of female members of these societies. That said, I also would have to bring up some of the male species of enlightened societies like ours: those creatures do not want to be compared to his wife's previous sex partners, because they know that they will be lacking in comparison.
Also I personally had never had intimate relationships with a virginal male, I could not imagine what would possess any woman to go through with it... Just a thought of teaching a man the basics of erotica makes me sick to my stomach... I expect my lover to know all the ways around my body and use them too. I can help him to learn more about me, but I would never teach him the basics.

knot reely, If he speifically wants a virgin, then he is either insecure or selfish. I a, a 24 year old virgin girl and I would not want a man to want me just because I am a virgin. That is shallow. There is more to a person than that. I also wouldn't want to be with someone like my ex who ridicules my virginity and make it seem like am the only virgin left on the planet.

Well, there are men out there who objectify women.. regardless of whether their virgins. Some men perfer virgins for religious reasons, others because they don't want to be compared to previous sexual partners. Although we live in an enlightened society, (and I fully support sexual freedom) there is something to be said about waiting for someone who you truly love to lose your virginity to (personal experience), and some men may just want to feel that special bond.

Dudes that want a virgin and are not virgins themselves, usually want to lay claim to that particular girl or woman. Even though in the future they may cheat on her.
If your human it really shouldn't matter about the girls past, but what do I know. People are going to do what they want and think what they want.

I guess it depends on what the guys motives are...is he looking only for a date and a one night stand? or is this for a lifetime/marriage commitment? If a guy insists on only dating virgins so he can "break them in" then yes it's totally objectifying...if on the other hand he too is a virgin, then he has every right to look for and marry someone else who has the same values as he does.

I tend to go for the more intelligent sort. They are more educated (even in sexual matters) so I rarely have to listen to this sort of garbage.
