As a rule "most" stations wait until after thanksgiving to start playing Christmas music, usually one song per hour and it gradually increases as it gets closer to Christmas. the stations that i work at goes all Christmas at noon on Christmas eve all the way through Christmas day

What's the matter with you people? Christmas is only a short period of time, what's the big deal about have one station out of how many, play Christmas music 2 months out of the year, big deal! I, of course, love it and start listening the minute the leaves change color and the weather gets cool.

I haven't heard any around here today (11/1). I do normally hear Christmas music around Thanksgiving since it is the start of the Christmas Season.

Christmas starts earlier and earlier every year. I have developed an ability to ignore all Christmas things until after Thanksgiving, so just change the station!

Where I live they don't start till the day after Thanksgiving. If you hate it that much, change the station or pop in a cd.

I agree, only the looser stations do that. you know the crappy love happy sappy stations. Christmas is December 24,25th Not November 1st. November 1st should have AFI or Marylin Manson because its the day of the Dead.

i totally agree! once i met a woman working in CVS, and she told me that by the time christmas comes around she is so sick of it she can't even enjoy it. She attributed this directly from having to listen to christmas music for 7 hrs a day from nov 1

for me, christmas starts the day after halloween because its like the countdown then the holiday season starts. we cant leave thanksgiving out can we?

Because its the Christmas Season, usually it starts the day after thanxgiving, but some ppl try to start things early.
