I am confused, is this a question about Jim McGreevey but somehow encrypted? Or does this more directly have to do with Barney Frank? In any case, I think that prostitution laws should be upheld and gays should have the same rights as everybody else.

Their religion and inculcated values tell them that homosexuality is deviant and evil. Their bodies, hearts, and minds say otherwise. So these guys are locked in a struggle against themselves--not to mention deeply in denial. It's said that some of the most vicious homophobes are secretly gay--homophobic because they've internalized all the negative messages and vicious because they're trying to exorcise that part of themselves.

Except for a bad choice in roommates back in the 1980s, Barney Frank, an openly gay man, has pretty much kept his nose clean, hasn't he? Liberals and moderates will be less circumspect about their sexuality and less likely to be ashamed of themselves and put themselves in danger as a result.

Good question but also ask yourself this. Why is it that when a heterosexual GOP Senator ( i.e. Senator Vitter)breaks prostitution laws, he is welcomed back within their ranks with open arms and everyone chants, " forgive, forgive!!!" and every excuse in the book is trumpeted

Because the best way to hide the fact that you are gay is to be against gay rights.
