Why do you support abortion other than accidental pregnancy caused by rape, 'condom breaking', or anything of that sort of matter?

Abortion is a personal decision that should be left up the woman to make. She is the one that will have to live with that decision the rest of her life. I believe that if you as an individual believe abortion is wrong, fine, don't have one. You don't have the right to impose your view on another person.

I am pro choice. However, I don't want it used as birth control. I am old enough to remember the many, many girls and women who lost their lives in back alley abortions. Over turning Roe verses Wade will not stop abortion.
In this day and age there is NO good reason someone should become pregnant. Birth control is excellent. Rape, incest, the health of the mother are good reasons for abortion.
So is abortion when all safeguards are taken and pregnancy results anyway. Sex education should be mandatory! There are to many young girls that are absolutely clueless. Women that are seriously concerned about pregnancy should always use condoms in conjunction with spermicide and another form of birth control, IUD, Pills, etc. Concerned? Take the morning after pill. But even with all of that we need to keep abortion legal.

i don't believe in abortion under any circumstances its just wrong that baby didn't ask to be here and everything has a reason. So no matter what i think women should have to go through the pregnancy and then just give the child up there are sooo many people out there who want a child but can't have one.

I hate these abortion questions, because they are bound to tick someone off!!

I... and i say I PERSONALLY would NEVER have an abortion. It's just not something that i could live with for the rest of my life. I wouldn't want to think 20 years down the road about my daughter in college, and a boyfriend... etc.

Roe VS. Wade gave women the right to choose. Is it right? Well,l according to the govt. abortions are legal. But, more or less, it's the woman's choice regardless of what other people say.

I just hope those who are wanting an abortion will be able to live with the consequences of their actions.

I personally would not get an abortion unless i was raped, i would have the baby if it was an accident etc. i could not live with myself if i killed my baby. but i do however, beleive in freedom of choice in that if people feel that abortion is right for them they should have the option to do it without feeling bad. as i said i would not do it but that option needs to be there or people would end up having a baby and then either neglecting it or abusing it if they really didnt want to have it. In NZ freedom of choice is important.

Even if pregnancy was caused by condom breaking, rape or any other reason that is still no a reason to kill an innocent person if by rape give the baby up for adoption, but a life should never be tooken if you were lucky enough to get pregnant then there is a reason the baby should be here.

Ive known parents who desperately wanted the child, and horrible horrible medical problems occurred with both the baby and the mother. They also had other young children, and this could mean taking the mother away from the other children. If I was ever in that situation, I wouldnt want someone else making the choice for me.

Now, as for rape, incest, anything where someone did not choose to have sex, who judges this? And in what time frame?

Lastly I believe my time is better spent volunteering with at risk children, and taking care of the children already in the world. And while there are many parents out there looking to adopt, there are also many many children out there waiting to be adopted or cared for, might just not be the perfect baby. I think those children should be focused on first.

Yes - without the freedom to choose a woman is reduced to the role of a simple baby machine. As Edward Abbey once stated, forbidding a woman her right to chose is compulsory maternity which is a form of rape by the state. (paraphrased)

oh please, abortion is MURDER, just like that.

freedom of choice? Please!!! the choice is to have sex or not, when you are pregnant the choice should end, now the baby has no fault in this! He has a right to live... We all do.. & just because he hasn't born doesn't mean he's not a living human being..

It is STUPID & RETARDED to say ''it's my body, my choice'' yeah you do whatever the hell you want with your body, i don't give a sh*t, BUT NOT with the baby's body!!! They can't defend themselves!!
--Who will hear their cries?
--Who will be their voice?

How can this people be so cold hearted?

ABORTION IS *NEVER* THE ONLY CHOICE

well i don't believe in abortion at all full stop. i believe that if you do the naughty and you don't use protection well that's just a thing that you have to deal with. the only reason you should have the slightest choice to have a abortion is if your been raped because that wasn't your fault and it wasn't a choice you made.
