Something heavy.
A kilo is a measurement of weight, not size. So two objects may have the same weight (1,000 kilos, or 2,200lbs.), but be very different sizes.
Picture a large box of something, say dirt. About 3' x 3' x 3' in size. That might weigh around 1,000 kilos (just as an example)
Now picture a block of solid steel that is only 1.5' x 1.5' x 1.5'
It too might weigh 1,000 kilos, but is a much smaller size due to the difference in density .

kilo = thousand (10^3). Its a group af standard exponent just like micro (10^-6), mili (10^-3), centi (10^-1), deca (10^1), and Mega (10^6)
1,000 kilo = 1,000 x 1,000 = 1,000,000 = 1 Mega
Doesn't matter what the measurement is (length, energy, weight...)
1000 km = 1Mm, 1000 kJ = 1 MJ, 1000 kg = 1Mg

it all depends on the density of the matter (thing) we are talking about.
m = density x volume
if you have 1000 kgs of cotton, the volume is huge
if you have 1000 kgs of gold, the volume will be very very small compared to that of cotton for example.
