I would join the answerers crowd. I hail from a country where a lover crosed a river in full spate, on a dark night in a leaking dingy to his beloved's place and climbed up on a rope he felt his wife had kept handing through a window and found it was actually a long serpent but die not give up for that and got in.
But the result was an anti-climax. While the wife indeed appreciated his single minded efforts tomeet her she said if only he would have concentrated even a fraction of this attention on god it would have been better.After all she was made of flelsh and blood and would one day reduced to a skeleton of bones.
