I will do whatever I can do for the woman I love. Provided I have the resourses and the capabilities, I will do absolutely anything I can to make the woman I love happy, because if she loves me, then she will do all she can for me! Each of us trying to make the other happy! WOW! How wonderful is a relationship like that?

-well I flew 10,000 miles to Sao Paulo from LA
-I traveled 6 days in a bus from Southern Brasil to Northern Brasil
-I have spent thousands in getting her here LEGALLY..
-I have bought her scores of roses, chocolates and Vera Wang perfume
-I have bought her a decent wedding ring as well (over 1 K Diamond with 14K gold and white gold)
-we got married in Brasil in 1999 and she has been back to Brasil on 3 separate occasions in the last 8 years, the most recent was 3 months ago. She typically spends 2 months there at a time.
- I took off a week of work when my wife came home from her trip so that I could be with her.
- I was with her through her miscarriage...
- we have had 2 kids together and both were miracles
-I have been with her through 2 pregnancies...women completely underestimate what this is...it may not seem like a lot to them as THEY are the ones who are pregnant..but the smart ones DO have the empathy to understand that much is entailed in this for men.

I don't focus on death and all the negatives...but of course it goes without saying that I would protect her and my children with my life.
- I entered the military in order to have the necessary health benefits and stable salary (albeit LOW) so that she would always have the care that she needs.
- I make it a point to put her needs ahead of my own ..if you get my drift...

and yet....it is never enough.....I will probably end up divorced sometime in the next year...

it doesn't matter what men do...it is never EVER enough...

Everything you mentioned except for spending tons of money on gifts. I bought my girlfriend a nice silver necklace she wanted from Tiffany's. She has never taken it off. I don't give gifts unless there is some thought or meaning behind it. Another time she really wanted a bottle of perfume that was no longer sold in America. I had to call the Dior company in Paris to find out how to buy a bottle. After going through a huge process of converting currency etc. I got the perfume in time for Christmas. Hey, I just realized. I'm a great guy!! She should be so lucky to be with me.

It's not only about love. It's about openly communicating, respecting the other person's feelings, and being truthful about everything, even if it hurts. It's about being there for them at all times, and being there unconditionally. It's about being a great friend, a confidant, a partner in crime, and when the time comes for kids, being a great Dad but making sure that you still make her feel special.

I know I didn't really answer the question, so I guess these fall under the "not though of yet" kind.

The giving of myself to the WOMEN in my life would be unconditional love in every sense of the word unconditional. Means putting ones self in any situation to let her know you are there to support her in any and evrything she does. If it means letting her go because she needs time to herself to figure out where she is in life and where she wants to be than that means putting ones pride to the side and giving her the freedom to do so. If truly love all you really want is what is best for that woman and if it means setting her free until she comes back, and there you stand with open arms and no questions asked upon her return that is unconditional love. The last thing I would hate to do is regret not giving it all to the one woman in the world that meant that much to me. I would give of myself completely and if in the end that is not enough I would be happy knowing I gave all I could and knowing that out there someone in the world would take better care of her than I

Anything but you allways dont have to spend money to show your love for your mate.Listen to them and take time to do what make both of you happy. But I would do waht ever it takes to make my wife happy after all she is my wife and I love her sometime the little things count the most. Never go into debt to try and show your love for someone. just listen to what makes her the happiest!!!

I would love her with all my heart. I know women want an expect the world of their men, which I totally understand. But I find the real things that show true love is intangible.

Funny thing.....I would accept the same.

These all sound a tad dramatic. Ask anyone who's been married for years, the best thing you can do is stand by someone for the rest of your lives. Nothing you can do in one tense minute will outweigh what you spend decades proving.

It's funny how when we think of what we would do for our loved ones, we immediately think of one-time actions: dying for someone, purchasing, composing, proposing, etc.

The best thing a person can do is give there whole life to someone. Not as a one time act of devotion, but on a daily basis- as long as he/she lives. That is the true expression of love.

I would, and I do, give her the remote. Even when "Trailer Park Boys" comes on. Greater love hath no man...

Never mind. Runnerpa... (the guy answering right after me) tops my answer by a mile.
