(5x + 2)/(x^2 - 4) = -5x/(2-x) + 2/(x+2)

factorize x^2 - 4 into (x+2) (x-2) and write

-5x(2-x) as 5x/(x-2)

(5x + 2) / (x+2)(x -2) = 5x / (x-2) + 2 / (x+2)

multiply with (x+2)(x-2)

5x + 2 = 5x(x+2) + 2(x-2)

5x + 2 = 5x^2 + 10x + 2x - 4

5x + 2 = 5x^2 + 12x - 4

5x^2 + 7x - 6 = 0

5x^2 + 10x - 3x - 6 = 0

5x(x + 2) - 3(x + 2) = 0

(x + 2) (5x - 3) = 0

x = -2 or 3/5

but x = -2 is not a solution, as denominators x^2 - 4 and x + 2 will be zero when x = -2 and division by zero is undefined

so x = 3/5

5x+2/x^2-4= -5x/2-x + 2/x+2 . . .please write the parenthesis
(5x+2)/(x^2-4)= -5x/(2-x) + 2/(x+2) . . . if this is OK
(5x+2)/(x^2-4)= 5x/(x -2) + 2/(x+2) . . . remove the negative
(5x+2)/(x^2-4)= 5x/(x - 2) + 2/(x+2)
(5x+2) = 5x (x+2 ) +2 (x-2) . common denominator (x²-4)
5x+2 = 5x²+10x + 2 x-4
5x²+ 7x -6 = 0
(5x -3) (x + 2) = 0
x = 3/5 . . . and . . . x = -2

5x+2=-5x(x+2)+2(x-2)
5x+2=-5x^2-10x+2x-4
5x+2=-5x^2-8x-4
-5x^2-5x-8x-6=0
-5x^2-13x-6=0
-5x^2-13x-6=0/ -1
5x^2+13x+6=0
(5x+3)(x+2=0
x=3/5;or -2

5x+2=-5x(x+2)+2(x-2)
5x+2=-5x^2-10x+2x-4
5x+2=-5x^2-8x-4
-5x^2-5x-8x-6=0
-5x^2-13x-6=0
-5x^2-13x-6=0/ -1
5x^2+13x+6=0
(5x+3)(x+2=0
x=-3/5;or -2
