I think it makes a mochary of our whole system. I mean, what is he trying to prove?

I think it's a joke. He's trying to prove he's a comedian.

I think its a joke for sure, but they should still let him get on the ballot. He has the right as a citizen to run for president if he wants to. We see the same stuff every election, two candidates from the two party system and an obscure third party candidate. Why not let new people into the presidential race? It wouldn't matter though, they didn't let Colbert on the ballot in South Carolina.

It is purely done in jest. If he actually ran for president, he would have to give up his TV show. Those are the rules.

My advice to Colbert, don't quit your day job, pal.

Mockery is what he does. I think it's great. It will provide a platform for him to make fun of everything that's ridiculous about our political system, and it sorely needs it!

I think the fact that hes NOT allowed is a joke. Its we the people so anyone should be allowed to vote, but seeing as how this is american democracy it means rich white men who are drop dead boring.
