Hmmm, perhaps Pierre Salinger, JFK's speech writer.
I met Tony Shalhoub, of "Monk" also -- it depends on the crowd as to who's most well-known.
I shared an elevator with Spiro T. Agnew, Nixon's VP in the Hilton in Taiwan but didn't recognize him; I don't know if sharing an elevator and not recognizing the person counts as meeting them.
Someone else is nagging at the edge of my consciousness . . . .
Is it Prince Charles; can't count it as "met:" ran into him at LACMA, looked me in the eyes, and I realized that that was a wonderful skill he must have had to develop, as a monarch. The art of making connections with people quickly.
They've all been delightful.
I can say one thing: the closer to the top you get, the nicer people are. Really. That's how they get there.
Fun question.

I had lunch with Red Skelton (just the two of us,what a nice man), sold beer to William Holden, put gas in Danny Thomas' car. Sold candles to Elvis and aspirin to Gloria Swanson. Almost got run over by Frank Sinatra and held Chuck Norris' gear bag. Not all in the same day of course. I worked at Thrifty in Palm Springs, Lived down the street from Danny Thomas' house in Cherry Valley, Ca. and used to compete in USKA tournaments.
Oh yeah, when I was a little kid I met Skipper Frank, and Tom Hatten. And did I mention the time I shared a joint with Linda Ronstat at the Monterey Pop Festival in Northern Cal?

Shri M R Dandvate, Finance Minister,Govt. of India in 1990.Apart from the high status he held it is rather he who brought glory to the post.He was a leader par excellence never apologetic or afraid of the people he led. He was perhaps the only Central Minister at the time (or ever) whodrove out the Security provided for him and alsoforbade the skeleton staff atthe gate of his bungalow not to detain anybody there but allow anybody to walk straight inside. He always believed that when his PM could move about in an open jeep in Srinagar why does hened security in safe and secure Delhi. This sometimes led to an anamolous situation. The Congress MP residing opposite his bungalow had full security. Visitors who came thought that that must be the Minister's residence and not one opposite where anybody and everybody could drive in or walk in unhindered. They turned back disbelievingly when told it was the opposite bungalow. He forbade his own son to use official transport for his private work for which he had his own car.He vacated his official residence the day he resigned after fall of the Janta Dal government and moved to a rendted accommodation in an age where the grandchildren of long expired ministers and high officials stick on to the same for milleniums. He donated his body on demise.

I personally haven't met anyone famous except some Russian ballet dancers (from Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker), but my dad met George W. Bush at a UT Longhorns football game when he was still governor. My dad went up to him, shook his hand, and said that if he ran for president, my dad would vote for him lol.

Axl Rose (partied with him), Billy Graham (checked him into a hotel), Lou Ferigno (sp?)(didn't know who he was until I got in trouble for fraternizing with the guests), Chris Speilman (sp?)(my brother played football with him at OSU), Ben Mauk (my fiance is a huge fan) and Ben Roethlesberger(sp?)(at his sisters B-ball game). I didn't meet him, but I saw Jesus in the back of an El Camino at an Arby's drive through in North Carolina-meeting him would have been HUGE!

It depends on what group of people you're in. I've met a couple of famous skateboarders... Andy MacDonald, Steve Caballero and Kareem Campbell. I met Bret Hart, a pretty famous wrestler. I can't say it with complete certainty, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to meet Shaquille O'Neal soon. He's opening up a gym next to my job and I have it on pretty good authority that he's going to visit soon. I plan on meeting him.
Regards,
Brandon
