why would it be on the big ten network and not espn or abc. Both teams are ranked and does anybody know if another station can pick it up

The Big Ten Network wants games like this only on the BTN so pressure is put on the cable systems to pick up their network. They all want to make as much money as possible and don't care about the fans.

It's not on T.V. because the newly created Big Ten Network has part of its contract that lets it have second choice of what Big Ten game it wants to show on its network. Also in the contract is a guarantee that at least one Ohio State Big Ten conference game will be shown on the BTN a year. Since ABC, who gets first choice of the Big Ten games, picked Michigan vs. Michigan State to show this week, and picked OSU vs. Illinois and OSU vs. Michigan the next two weeks, the BTN thought this was the best game from the remaining games, and the fact that this was the last OSU game of the season available to be broadcast on the BTN.
As a side note, Time Warner and other cable companies don't carry the BTN yet, so if you have cable, you're probably going to have to head to the local sports bar to watch the game.

I didn't realize that was gonna happen, but that's lame. Not being able to watch that game won't be the end of the world, but I rather atleast have the opportunity. If all the colleges and networks get together and think hard enough, they could probably ruin college football completely one day.

Their not Southern teams and the South has no interest in watching anything but SEC teams. That's where our heart is.

it depends on what region you live in, if you live in california your not gonna watch wisconsin vs. michagan or somethin like that. Its a regional broadcast, but some games are national broadcasts.
