I hope that all you Americans don't take to much offense when some of us more refined English have a laugh at you..

No what i really mean is that i know you are the same as me stuck on the end of a keyboard only miles away with the same hopes and beliefs as the rest of the UK and if we seem arrogant and having a go at you its because you do the same to us, as do the Aussies.

So any insults that you throw this way don't worry most of us are thick skinned and will not be offended but might have a go back. so take care and tell me do you fell the same

Give me an Aussie any day to argue with they are a lot more intelligent than your average yank and better sportsman

Hi,
I really would like to take issue with two morons who obviously failed to get into the sprit in which this question, or statement was meant. The two that I speak of are "Spotlight" and "Marty".

What a couple of idiots! The sole contribution of "spotlight" is "Limey Twats"..... oh dear, if you are going to insult people then you really must do better than that !! It was so base, and it really belies your guttural inteligence level; personally I feel if that is the best you can do; you, really ought to go out and have a hamburger or something, and then watch Jerry Springer. It seems that would be at about your level.

Then we come to "Marty", what a star!! So we hide behind your fantastic military prowess do we? Get real and learn your history, I think you'll find that we don't hide behind anyone, and if you really think that, then there's something wrong with you. Just out of interest I will give you some facts: Your "DELTA" force was originally trained by our SAS, I am not even going to go into the details of the two great conflicts of the twentieth century, of which both times you turned up late, however I would not dream of belittiling the bravery of your forces in those theatres of war, something that you seem unable to do in return.

I will say this though. I had an uncle killed in WW2, he was on a hospital ship as a wounded squaddie, the ship was clearly marked as such and it was sunk, by US bombers - well done! So friendly fire is not a modern problem, at least by you lot.

And finally I had another uncle in the Royal Marine Commandos, he was on a joint excercise with the US Marine Corp, the "value" of the targets on this excercise was the same for both us and the US, both forces were of comparable size. Within six hours the "target" had been taken by the Royal Marines, three days later your "target" was still not taken, and in enemy hands. You have the audacity to slate us off??????? GET REAL.

In closing this polemic does sound rather anti US, it is not meant to be. It is however a sad fact that some idiots use these forums to become rather malicious and venomous, and sometimes one has to defend what they believe to be true. I also have to say that the vast majority of US citizens that I have met are the nicest, most polite people on the planet, and if my rant agaist the two idiots has offended you in any way, then please accept my apologies.

Is there a question here? Did someone lick the chocolate off your biscuits, Lovey? As an American, I realize how difficult it is to speak proper English! And the majority of the Brits I know take a very loose attitude about English! Don't worry about having a laugh "at" us Americans, the country is so big, you couldn't possibly insult or have a "go" at many of us, cause the rest of us wouldn't understand you anyway!
I wonder to whom you referring when you say you are of the more refined English, and seem not to know the TO, Too, or Two. I love the British Empire (so glad we opted out) and the British people -Did you forget to slur the Kiwis?, The White South Africans? Etc., Etc!

Look this is really stupid, i am an American Citizen. The tweak is i am a true American because i am Hispanic, i am half Guatemalan and half Mexican and last time i checked those two countries are part of the whole American continent. Do not place us in the whole "Americans" that are basically white people because those are just stupid red necks that insult their own citizens by saying we take their jobs when its stupid because how the hell did a ******* steal your job, THEY DON'T EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH! But any way I'm an American that actually knows the history of the country, knows the culture and i appreciate the culture of others. If your gonna bag on some Americans bag on your other half's which are the white people that are cheap imitation of you Europeans, they wont even accept the fact that they are a bit European how stupid are they!!!!!!!!!!! Edit: Josh, you are showing such ignorance, not surprising as American education seems to let you all down when it comes to historical fact!
The descendants of the white people in the UK have a high percentage of French origin, probably anyone with dark hair actually. A few thousand years ago the British Isles were Attached to mainland Europe, there are many people in the UK who`s descendants are from European and Scandinavian origin. We have a high population of immigrants from Asia, Eastern Europe, Ireland. A similar situation to the US, a mixed bag.
And while you slate the people of Britain and their blood lines, don`t forget that the first immigrants to come to America were the English and the Irish, so unless you are of South American or Asian descendency, then you are probably slagging off your ancestors, or at least those of your countrymen! (You may even have a French bloodline, how ironic!)
Just a reminder to those who havn`t studied history in the 20th century- Canada were part of the allied forces years before the US, as were New Zealand, South Africa and Australia. America got involved when they were themselves attacked by Japan. The country who contributed most BY FAR was Russia. They actually lost the most civilian and military lives and had a huge part to play in stopping the Nazis.
Also, just so you know for future reference, 44% of English people say they believe in God and only 7% are practicing Christians.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way...I don't mean one bit of it, I swear. Like you say over there, I'm just "having a go".

You say most of you Brits are thick-skinned and I wouldn't argue, to be able to live in that God-forsaken, freezing tundra of an island, you must have thick skin...and it's probably pasty white and sickly looking as well.

And the reason that most of you Brits look sickly probably has to do with the fact that all Brits, and this is a fact, have ancestral lines with histories of inbreeding, and are consequently more likely to inbreed today than any other people in the world. In fact I was surprised earlier this year when I learned that IN THE UK, AFTER DIVORCE, YOU CAN STILL REMAIN SIBLINGS.

But maybe we shouldn't focus so much on physical features of the Brits...that's quite a low thing to do. Ughhh...but those teeth! It's as if there was something disagreeable about that fine British cuisine (fish and chips?!?) that mangled their dentures.

But at least they have their religion, right? That powerful entity known as the Anglican Church. Well, it's about as influential as the criss cut fry...

And we know that they are the leading military power and current world power right? I can see it now on the BBC...a roundtable gathering of the most proper English gentlemen sipping their tea, talking about the days of Pax Britannica.

Ahhh...I could go on talking about the countless qualities of the Brits...but they are too many. Thank God they aren't related to those fairy French!

I don't care what someone says about me, to me, or in reference to anything I have to say... I don't give a rip what your skin color is or what nationality you are.

I don't think I would try to win this one by saying you are more intelligent. Your statements and sentences are broken and full of grammatical error.
