what is the purpose of a nucleus. any help is great!! thanks

i would give you my answer (which is that it is basically the brain of the cell, and sends out messages to other parts of the cell to carry out the necessary functions) but it looks like i was beat to it. =/

In a cell, the nucleus is kind of like our brain. It directs the functions of the organelles and things in the cell.

it completely controls the cell, without the nucleus, the cell would die, it is like our brain,or a command center

the nucleous holds all the DNA of the cell, DNA pretty much makes everything work so the nucleus is the 'Command center' of the cell

it controles growth, metabolism, and reprduction, and houses the cells dna that contain genetic info

alot dont know but dna is also in the mitcondria as well

Its like the brain or main controller of the cell. And inside of it is the nucleolus. Inside the nucleolus is DNA.

It is the "brain" of a cell. It controls every other part of the cell like our brain does.
