What would be a good floating toy for my jack dempsey?

It always seems bored besides chasing the other fish.

How about a rubber duck? Why exactly do you need to find your fish a toy? It will very likely pay no attention to it... Just make sure the toy can't fit in its mouth, or you'll have trouble...

Soop Nazi

EDIT: Give it a complex environment to interact with... Decorate its tank with driftwood and hardy plants like Java Moss... This will give it something to do, and something to explore, making it more active... The "toy" will probably just sit there and collect any scum on the surface...

EDIT 2: Jack Dempseys will tear most live plants apart, but plants that grow and cling onto driftwood are generally safe with them... Try Java Moss and Anubias...

I've heard of using ping pong balls too.
But I think Soup Nazi had the best answer.
