If the Red Sox trade Manny Ramirez, then they will not make it to the WS next year. He is the heart and soul of the Red Sox. He should be the captain not that overrated Varitek. The dude is so stupid he has to have a C on his jersey just to remind him that he is the captain. Not to mention why would you get rid of one of the strongest arms in Baseball. I believe he is gonna have better stats in 08 then in 07. Not to mention look how he batted in the postseason. If Boston gets rid of him they might as well wait 86 more years for a WS to fall in their laps.

I really don't think that the Red Sox will trade Many Ramirez; however, if they did i think it wouldn't be a very big deal... This is because Many Ramirez is not a big part of the Red Sox line up. For example, this regular season Many only got 20 Home runs... Another reason, he is a burden to the Red Sox team, is because he is not an efficient right fielder. I my self am a big Yankees fan, and i would not like if Many Ramirez was traded to the Yankees; on the other hand, the Yankees need all the help they can get in the 2008 season due to the leave of Joe Torre, and Alex Rodriguez.

The only way the Sox trade Manny is if they think they can't resign him after his contract is up. If you will remember a few years ago they waived him, but nobody took him. Manny says lots of things about leaving every year, then he changes his mind just as quickly. Although he grew up in the Bronx, I don't think he'd be a good cultural fit with the Yanks. For example, think he'd get a haircut like Damon and randy Johnson did? I doubt it. Think Yankees fans would tolerate him saying it's no big deal if the team does not win? I don't think so... Most likely, manny will stay where he is at least through next year and perhaps longer if they can work out a contract renewal.
I don't expect he'll get $20 M/ year next time around though.

Boston is not done.
Manny will not be traded. He plays pretty good defense in fenway and even robbed a few homers at yankee stadium. His defense is very underrated. You only see clips of his errors on ESPN but they don't show it when he actually robs homeruns or throw people out after catching a ball barehandedly off the green monster.
Manny is the most valuable player on this Boston team. Ask any true red sox fans.
Red Sox fans knows when Manny hits that walk off off K rod against Angels in ALDS, that's MANNY BEING MANNY!

Manny isn't going anywhere.
I don't think the Yankees would know what to do with Manny being Manny. LOL
This guy is fun to watch and is a future HOFer. He has one year left on his current contract and I'm sure they will resign him to end his career in Boston.
What would the Sox line up look like without the best 1-2 punch in MLB???
Manny and Ortiz light it up...

First I want to point out that I am and will always be a die-hard red sox fan. That being said, has Michael ever watched the Sox play? one of the strongest arms in baseball? Are you a tard? He maybe underrated playing the wall in Fenway but he's throwing from left dude. Manny has a quick release to second base which catches a lot of base runners off guard but he also makes his fair share of bone headed mistakes too. He is fun to watch and he is just fun loving guy doing what he loves best and that's hitting a ball. A hitting machine. And at the going rate of salaries he is considered cheap for what he gives you. They will absolutely keep him in that lineup.

No. He will not. His value was proven in this year's playoffs. Look at the second game of the ALDS. The Angels walked Ortiz 3 or 4 times. When they did it in the bottom of the ninth, Manny hit a 3 run walk off home run.

Nope, not anymore, Manny has expressed his desire to stay with the Red Sox till his careers is over. He is a great hitter, one of the best in baseball and I'm sure his number will be retired if he stays with the sox

They try to trade him every year, but no one takes him. So he just stays in Boston every year, hitting 40+hrs 100+rbis.
