Dew forms when condensation is faster than evaporation. This happens when the earth's surface lose more energy by infrared radiation than it receives though the incident solar radiation which is the case on clear nights.
So,dew forms in the form of water droplets on poor conducting, well isolated objects from the ground, and non-metallic objects like grass in the morning(sometimes in the evening).
The conditions required for the formation of dew are (1) absence of clouds (2)Sufficient Relative humidity near the ground and (3) less water vapour at the higher armosphere to reduce the green house effect.Dew does not require condensation nuclei for the formation as in the case of fog.

Dew is basically condensation and generally forms at night. When the sky is clear, the grounds loses heat readily by radiation, whereas the air above it remains relatively warm. Moisture held in the warm air as water vapour, when it comes into contact with the cold surface, condenses forming water.

The rate at which dew forms depends partly on how cold the surface is and partly on its surface area. Grass has a relatively large surface area so provides plenty of places for the water to condense. Hence dew on the lawn in the morning.

It is a form of condensation caused by the drop in temperature at night from the daytime warmth, thus forming liquid. Similar really to putting cold drinks into a glass and watching the condensation form on the outside of the glass.

For dew to form, air must be cooled to its condensation point. There must be little movement to the air or it will remain mixed and not form dew, but will form fog instead.

Yep..thats hows it formed.

moisture in the air on cold night it forms moisture much like a fridge effect, as some food u pace in the fridge forms droplets like dew, the same thing happens outside, thats why it doesnt occur on warm nights
