Salt is created from crystals that remains after evaporation.
I think salt was created a long time before because oceans are salty.
NaCl (Sodium Chloride) is a best example of table salt that human use in daily life.

Salt goes back to prehistoric times.
Probably someone dropped their food in some salt and noticed that it tasted better.
