"Sick", which by my understanding meant "cool" or "awesome".
This caused me much confusion for a while and I thought everybody was just ungrateful or deluded until somebody pointed out it meant what it means.
On a side note, I also made the same mistake the first time somebody said I was "phat", I took offense and weighed myself obsessively for weeks over that. Until somebody pointed out that it was a compliment and that I was indeed quite lean and tall.

"That's so random"
kill me if i have to hear one more 13-18 year old say it.
I just want to walk around with a sandwich board that says.
"no that's not random, look the word up in a dictionary."

awesome
People throw it around so casually when in the definition of the word, it is something spectacular and not casual.
