Just take one, and use a back up form of contraceptive until you have taken an active pill each day for seven days in a row. Doubling up doesn't actually decrease your chances of pregnancy, and is more likely to cause spotting and breakhrough bleeding, though you may get some anyway.

I did the same thing yesterday. I doubled up today. I felt a little nauseous, but that went away. As far as your periods go, IDK. This was my first time in 9 years of missing a pill, and I'm due for my period next week. But just take your missed pill and keep doing what you're doing. You should be okay.

Take two you have up to 72 hours to take a missed pill before it matters to much.

Read the pamphlet that came with your pack!
Most of the time, it says to take the one you forgot as soon as you remember, and then take the next one at the usual time.

Take two. One at your regular time and one several hours later. The little booklet that comes with your pack should have this information in there.

Definitely take two. If you forget to take one, you should always take it as soon as you remember and then take the other one at your normal time. If you don't remember until your normal time, take two then. Don't worry about pregnancy. You're still covered if you forget to take one. Forget two and you should use back up protection. ...................................
edit: yes it does matter. Definitely definitely take two. If you only take one, it might not work like it should.
