First of all, Day of the Dead is a whole different idea, that is not about satan, and is all about visiting your ancestors. That is a very good day. And there is nothing scary about it. Second, the few who hate halloween still view the holiday as a day that is all about worshiping satan. When they look at the holiday that is what they see, not a holiday the has become totally commercial and is just about giving people candy. The perspective people use is the reason that those people think that NO One should be mislead into thinking it is innocent when it is really the devil!) Personally I think thats is just an innocent holiday. Those people are crazy, it has totally evolved!!!!

Because people like them always make the worst out of everything. Is just a simple holiday with innocent fun. Some people make things bad just because few people try to do bad things is like saying I had one bad expierence with a guy, it doesn't mean all men are jerks. Don't ruin a holiday just cause some people decide to be crazy.

Because they are bored and mostly stupid.. My kids are young, and don't have the slightest clue as to what it means to worship the devil or be Satan.. They just love dressing up as ballerinas and cowboys, I think people should just cool it.. We have those parents at our school, and they actually joined the PTA to stop Halloween parades, thankfully I am president and I threw them out of the meeting.. Of course I gave them a piece of my mind, I also had a few Jehovah's witness parents trying to ban Christmas shows and pageants, I see it every day... Its really frustrating trying to explain to people, its for the kids, they think its fun. Whats wrong with letting kids use their imagination? Whats wrong with letting kids play cowboy for a day, or think there is man who loves kids and travels around the world?? Its just a part of innocence, we should just let them enjoy their youth..

Because fear makes people do stupid things. Generally it's the fundamentalists, and their churches tell them that Halloween is akin to Satan worship. Even if they don't believe trick or treaters are conjuring potions and summoning the dead...they're too afraid God will be displeased if they participate, or worse yet...their fellow church goers might see...and they'll be shunned or shamed.
Why is it that ONLY people like that...see demons and become possessed? When is the last time a demon crawled out of your TV set while you were watching a scary movie? When is the last time a child turned another kid into a rat because they read Harry Potter? But...many of those people will swear it happens!
It's almost child-like, or simple-minded to me...to think that way. Personally...I think God will protect me from "Damien, Omen II" and "Scooby Doo" cartoons, and in all my 43 years...I have NEVER seen the dead rise up at midnight on Halloween!

Why do the few who hate Christians try so hard to stop them? It's all the same question. Fill in the blanks. When any kind of person feels strongly about something, they may have the urge to fight against it. It happens, we all have the right to fight for what we believe in, it's called the 1st ammendment.

A simple answer my nephew gave us when my sister was preparing him to go to Kindergarten, she told him "Some people do not like Barney. They may say bad things about him." To which he replied "Some people are stupid!"
You can not please all of the people all of the time.
You have fun! Just look at those people and say "It's all in good fun!!"
Hope this helps!

Either they really have nothing better to do with their time and want everyone to feel as miserable as they are or they feel the need to interject what they feel are the most correct social values onto others.
