I would love it!
Esp after the way that Steinbrenner let Torre go.
I wonder how many of the Yankees or ex-Yankees are going follow Torre and end up on that WS team that beats them.

Do you remember how many books came out after the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004?
You'd have enough to read for a year.
Can't wait until 2008! What is it, 106 or 107 days until pitchers and catchers report?

Jay something you are missing even a new uniform will not help A-rod hit a grand slam in the WS. They also need more than a new manager and a new 3B. What if the other players around him play like ****. He is not worth even picking up and I don't think the Dodgers will win the West. The Rockies will win, and I pick the Dodgers for the Wild Card.

Although I would love to see it happen, I honestly think the Evil Empire will not even be in the playoffs next season. I see the Dodgers as an up and coming team, but the Yanks are in turmoil and need a lot of work. I think it will take them more than one season to get straightened out.

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The announcers were bad enough in this world series. If Joe Torre and the Dodgers would face the Yankees in the 2008 World series, we'd all OD on Tim McCarver.

how ironic would it be if the Dodgers finished in 3rd place and proved the Torre isn't the genius everyone made him out to be. Maybe people will realize the manager has little to do with the outcome of the game. ITs the players and the talent level. He doesn't have the talent in LA as he did in NY.

That would be sort of like what happened when Jon Gruden first went to the Buccaneers and they made it to the Super Bowl and beat the Raiders. It would be really ironic.
