depends on the offense. i'll avoid violence past the point of most people, but certain things will make me react in pure violence. i'm 6-4 and 280lbs, so i'm not messed with much, thank god, but sometimes bad things happen. but only if i'm pushed way to far.

It takes a lot to offend me, but I would turn the other cheek. Honestly, it's not worth my time to get upset over someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. However, if it's someone that I trusted that was turning their back on me, then it's on!

If you need some more poll results, my entire family (3 other people) say they'd smack em back though :)

If its my significant other..i smack em back with a worse come back that is usually hurtful...if its someone..that i just don't care about their opinion or they are higher up then me..(such as my boss) then i turn the other cheek!! Which is bad..it should be the opposite...i guess this is something i need to work on..thanks for making me think =D Great question!

I don't do either, first of all I don't turn the other cheek to give them a shot at my other one, and I don't smack em either ,usually I give them a you know where you can go look and then ignore them, act like the don't exist anymore, that really chaps their hides.

If someone offends you, you should think rationally.

If they show violence towards you (Punching etc.) and they don't stop, then you must defend yourself. However, if it is verbal, you should never "smack em back" just say something SO POLITE that it makes them think.

My mother always says, "Whenever someone says something you don't like to hear, give them flowers".

They WILL soften up one day.

It depends on what originated the conflict. If something is done to myself that is offensive, I tend to turn my cheek. However if something is done to any of my family members I smack both thier cheeks.

Me, I turn the other cheek.
Why?
Because when I'm more successful than them, that would be a hard enough smack without me having to do anything.

Use to turn the other cheek, not anymore! I would not hurt them physically but tell them that they offended me to pull up!
