Horton Hears a Who
F.Y.I...did anyone know that before he became a children's book writer that he was actually a political cartoonist and all his childrens books have underlying political messages? Like the Lorax was about environmental protection and was actually on the banned books list. Horton Hears a Who is about diversity ("a person's a person no matter how small") and that Seuss actually took offense that pro-life groups used that slogan in their abortion protests. Green Eggs and Ham was actually a book written on a bet with his publisher from (I think) Random House? He bet Seuss that he couldn't write a childrens book using only 50 simple words. Dr. Seuss's real name was Theodore Geisel.
