I don't understand how it would be 24? why would you multiply 4 and 6?

= 4√6 x √6
= 4 (√6 x √6)
= 4 (√36)
= 4 (6)
= 24

4√6 x √6 = 4√36 = 4(6) = 24

= 4(6)
= 24

(√x)(√x)
= (√x)^2
= x

4√36 = 4* 6 = 24

When you get to 4√36, you don't take the square root of the 4. It's outside the √radical.
