There are two schools of thought regarding turning lights on.
1. The day after Thanksgiving (plus or minus a day or three) is an acceptable time to turn lights on.
2. The first of December is a good day to turn lights on (or anytime thereafter).
If you have a ton of lights to install, go ahead and start putting them out now and have them ready for your light up date.

It's not too early. I'm actually going to get started on it today. As for putting up lights and not plugging them up-sure. It would even save you some on your electric bill, which is a great thing this time of year! Happy Decorating!!

That no effort is wasted, nothing learned done or made is useless, people are complex and are never what they seem, everyone has motives whether they know it or not, for something to exist it has to be triggered- this goes for actions emotions and everything else in life,i should always do everything to the best I my ability, everything doesn't have to include emotions, sleep is precious, and the goal to life is happiness but, however lazy someone is they can not be idle an however hardworking they are, they still have to stop and have precious moments of absorption of the beauty around them.

I don't think it's too early, I mean if you have a lot you can start putting them up, some around my neighborhood lit them up already, but only few. Just don't light them up right away if you want do it near or after Thanksgiving.

You can put them up now to save time having to do it when things get crazy closer to Christmas, but DON'T plug them in. Wait until after Thanksgiving.
