Good question. Seeing Papelbon dance accentuates the fact baseball players most of the time do not dance such as say football players. Which is why John Papelbon is now going to be on TV a whole lot.

baseball players dont dance because they have class, mostly football and basketball players are ego maniacal and totally showboaters, so every time they do something right, they have to make sure everyone knows THEY did it
baseball players have more class, thats one of the greatest things about baseball, despite the fact there is more onus on the individual in baseball then in basketball and football combined, there is an equal sense of team in the game

I think that it all stems from the fact that it takes a special kind of man to feel comfortable wearing form-fitting pants and that type of man knows how to dance

Thank God they don't. For one thing, it would be a good way to get a 95 mph fastball bruised into your back, hip or worse (lots of fans don't realize how bad that hurts and how the bruise can stay with you for weeks) and for another thing, it would just be too silly for my taste.

Because they'd get a fastball in the temple the next time up at bat.
