Obviously, Steve Smith is much quicker and cuts much faster than Moss but who's faster overall. If it was just a straight out 60 yard race or so, who would win? Preferably can you give me some kind of real reason rather than your personal opinion

Besides Randy Moss, I have never seen a player that's as good as going up for a ball than Steve Smith, if you throw the ball near him, doesn't matter how good the coverage is, there's a 3/4 change he'll get it

If I had to guess, I would go with Moss, because of the longer legs and all.

In this case, Moss is most likely the choice, he has "speed". You are right with Steve Smith having more quickness and agility and catching in traffic, but Moss can speed up and has real good "deep speed" and probably give more difficulties for defenses for his unique built of size and height and catching ability. As in Steve Smith's case, he is fast but doesn't have the unique characteristics of Moss. It would be almost impossible to tell, because both receivers are fast and some days the other receiver could be having an off day. But I think Moss would slightly win a longer race, but Steve Smith definitely has the quickness for sure.

I would say that Randy Moss is faster because he is much taller and has longer legs. It dosen't matter if you have a 40 inch vertical, you still might not e that fast.andy Moss is 7 inches taller than Steve Smith. He is a monster!

I think Moss and his long legs would go by Smith in anything longer than 40. Also, Moss is at least 7 inches taller than Smith; who would you rather throw to?

Faster-Steve Smith
More likely to beat the best coverage-Randy Moss...I won't say more athletic, but you may have missed one of his many TDs this season in double coverage...and btw, Moss is about 6'5...He doesn't need a 40 inch vertical...

steve smith probably, he'd start out more quickly, and moss only looks like he's burning DB's because his height and ability to catch in traffic, steve smith can get open better, so from what ive seen, steve smith could win a 60 yard sprint
and also, in madden, steve smith is rated faster, i think they take 40 times into account, so i would throw that into the arguement

if they were the same height (steve is 5'9 and moss is 6'4)
steve would be ahead of moss by a mile in just 2 seconds
