I know you start the sunday after yourmestural cycle, but if you're still on it and finishing up on sunday do you still take it, or wait another week?

yup.... you can take it anytime while you are on your period (even when finishing up) . . . I wouldn't wait a week later, because you are taking the chance of it not working.
also need to take the pack for an entire month before going 'free style' if that is your intention.

You take it on that Sunday. Even if your period started on Friday or Saturday you still take it on that Sunday.
