My internet keeps going off?

Sometimes it will come back on but mostly it won't. Sometimes when I restart it comes back but usually only for a few minutes and sometimes it won't at all. I have a wireless connection!

I had similar problems a couple years ago when I purchased a Linksys router -- Linksys was shipping the routers defective from their factory. They released a Firmware patch on their website which, after applied, resolved my issues. Check your router's website for updates.

Sometimes a wireless phone will interfere with your computer wireless connection and turn it off. If you think this is the problem, check the Megahertz on your phone. A 900 MHz usually won't interfere, but a 1200 will.

Try to make sure there no other devices interfering with the connection for instance microwaves phones etc you could also try another channel within your wireless router configuration page reset your routher see if that works

Do you have a cable modem? Have your provider check their wires. I just had to have Charter come out and fix mine. If you have dial-up, talk to your phone company and also your provider and tell them what problem you are having, they can fix it. Make sure you tell them to give you credit for the days you have had this problem, too. You shouldn't have to pay if you aren't using the service.
