From what I see above, the ones who criticized Obama are the same ones who voted for 911 aka Bush and still stand for our troops giving their lives for the rich. I'm White and I know that we will nit pick any small issue with someone rather than just be flat out and honest and say that we don't like you because of your color.

Is it true that George Bush eats Jewish babies (David Cross). No. There is a small portion of probably very conservative southerners who probably won't vote for Obama because he's black. But this is the year for change. You've got two different firsts: a Woman and a black candidate. Personally, the "woman" is a little to extreme for me (although I'd love to see Bill back in the white house!). Obama is looking like a great candidate, and those who are too racist to see, probably won't make too much of a difference in the election.

Barack is a great candidate, but don't get upset if he doesn't win the nomination. Look at Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson. These are also amazing men that would make great presidents, Black isn't the issue with the Democratic party, it's the Red Stater's with there separate drinking fountains. Join the DNC and help all of us make a well thought about wise decision in 08 - Black or White.
By the way Edwards in 08'

Lets put it this way I would much rather have Colin Powell as president than anyone else running.
The fact that he is Black is irrelevant.
As for Obama let him be a senator for a bit longer, the fact that the number two candidate in the Democratic party has not even finished a senate term is embarrassing. It shows a lack of leadership.

Compared to the corrupt idiot we have now, Obama would no doubt be a big improvement. I think he's just as phony as Bill Clinton, but clearly very intelligent. I'd probably vote for him against any of the Republicans and I am white. If he keeps talking about bombing Iran, though, I won't vote for him, either. And we're stuck with Hillary whether we like it or not anyway, just like they stuck us with Kerry last time--that is what they've decided and that's what we're getting, the people be damned.

Barack Obama a great president is this a joke, Barack Obama will not even pledge allegiance to the country he says he wants to lead, and we are so post to trust our country to him. How can you vote for someone who is anti-American that is just plain crazy.Anyone who votes for him has to have more than a few screws loose.I like what General Petraeus said to Chelsey Clinton "Ms Clinton there are three things that scare me Osama, Obama, and your mama".

Stop pulling the race card, clown. The man would not salute the flag of the nation he claims to want to lead. If he gets voted in, then we deserve the socialist worker's paradise that gets thrust upon us.

a great president like obama? surely u jest. you wanna real candidate, not the type who panders to interest groups, not the type who throws away morals but mentions Christianity when convenient. Huckabee is the closest I can spot. Obama is just another corrupt politician who can speak very well, but what content and substance he does have just sucks. im sorry, but open you mind and actually listen to him and the other candidates. i dont care what color or gender a person is.

Obama needs more experience and exposure.
The perfect way for him to get these two things is by serving as Hillary's VP for two terms.
Then he can have his shot at the Presidency.
