There are no medications that will stop your milk from coming in. Once upon a time there was an injection but guess what? Really high doses of hormones are BAD.

There are some herbs you can use, and OTC decongestants may help -but you are likely going to suffer. Sorry, but your breasts are there to provide milk for your baby. Breastfeeding has incredible benefits for both mom and baby, and most midwives will not support formula feeding -try a pediatrician.

I've heard bonding your breasts will do it. Just get an ace bandage and wrap it around your chest tight, but not where you can't breath. You will feel discomfort, but it supposedly stops the milk faster then just waiting. BTW don't let anyone put you down or make you feel bad for not breastfeeding. It is a personal choice and no one has the right to judge you for it. Congrats on your baby this Monday

I dont think there is anything you can do, once you have had the baby and your body realises you arent breastfeeding your milk will stop on its own, but you are still gonna be leaking for a while, so stock up on those breast pads!

Nothing. You;ll only have discomfort for about 3 days once the milk's come in. Just wear lots of breast pads as you will leak esp. when your baby cries.

After having a stillborn I too wanted to dry up my breastmilk as it was a painful reminder of what I had lost-I am in Australia and here they do have a drug to dry it up but it can have harmful side effects so it is best to just let nature take it's course, but keeping your breasts cool and in a tight bra was what doctors told me to do-Good luck!!

Do not touch or handle your breasts, or let anyone else lol... it stimalutes the milk coming.
an old trick is to cool cabbage leaves in the fridge and put them on your breasts to cool them down, it a sort of works
the last is to take epson salts to flush the system, it works but don't overdo it or you will not be able to leave the bathroom..
old tricks but good ones

I can understand why the midwives do not want to help you, because they believe that all mothers should breastfeed their baby.

If you really don't want to breastfeed then speak to your doctor he/she can prescribe medicine to stop your milk from coming through.

All the best for the labour and good luck in getting the medicine.

Freeze a head of cabbage and put the leaves in your bra, it will stop your milk and decrease the discomfort

take an antihistamine like benadryl. I tried the cabbage and ace bandages and nothing worked. The antihistamine helps dry it up. Good luck!

There is nothing you can do until it all comes out. Don't pump it will produce more milk.
