I'm not sure about the Top 5, but the saddest love song you will ever hear is Eric Clapton, the name is "Wonderful Tonight". It's so touching, in fact, that I once made a vow that any guy can get any girl to fall for him if he played her that song.

I don't really have a top 5 but one I would surely recommend is "mad world" by gary jules...
P.S. Make sure it's by gary jules because there's another version and it's not as good....
