my laptop shuts down for no reason. like i would be working on it and then 30 minutes later it would black out. What can i do to fix it?

This can be happening for a variety of reasons; you have not provided enough information to diagnose the problem.
Some things that *may* be happening: Your computer may be overheating; You may be operating from the battery which is too low; Another component on your computer may not be securely inserted.

How old is ur laptop cause like the other person said it could happen for many resons the main 1 i would think of is that its overheatin. Mybe ur blockin a vent or layin it on ur bed if so make sure its on a table or a flat surface so it can get some air flow underneath it.

if nothing is wrong with your hardware you might want to have a look in control panel --->power options-->schemes/advanced
