Chances of getting pregnant by having intercourse right before the period is very low but possible. To avoid the risk, it is advisable to use some kind of protection. Good luck!

Most women are NOT ovulating a day before their periods, but if you don't want to get pregnant, why take the chance? Why not just take the pill or some other form of birthcontrol. And unless you have both been tested for STDs, you should use condoms too.

Nope your still at risk and if you are asking that type of question then you don't need to be having sex! You should NEVER take the chance of having unprotected sex at any time not only are you at risk for pregnancy, but your at risk for STD's.

10 seconds of joy=30 Years of misery!
If you are not ready to have kids then before you hump, cover the stump. Don't bring a life into this world if you are not ready to be responsible, think about it, your whole life will change. Protection, use a glad bag!

There's a medical term for women who use the rhythm method: "Mommy."

Condoms not only prevent pregnancy (as long as they're used right), they also prevent STDs. You'd not only be making love to your boyfriend, it would be like having sex with everyone he ever had sex with.

"Vatican roulette" isn't a very smart way for a young lady to take care of herself. I hope you do better.

Why chance it? Sperm can live for up to 7 days inside your vagina. You can get pregnant at any time of your cycle. Its just when you are ovulating your chances of becoming pregnant are greater.
So unless you are prepared for raising a child, use protection always.

are you stupid or something? Unprotected sex is never ok, unless you are prepared to have a child. Condoms are cheap...dont risk it. AND...has he and or you been tested for std's? do you know him well enough to have unprotected sex with him? be careful, you only get one go around...and once you have HIV...you're dead! Good Luck!

NO! The ovum may still be capable of being fertilized despite the fact that you are about to start your period.

Good grief.

You should NEVER have unprotected sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No matter what time of the month it is, you risk the chance of pregnancy ANY TIME you have sex!

Even with contraceptives you STILL risk a chance of pregnancy!
