I'm doing a project for school and must know how immagrants got to missouri or what forms of transportation they used in 1855

Mostly by wagons pulled by mules or horses. Some walked. Some rode horseback.

The mass migration from Western Kentucky was not an organized movement. Long boats and ox-carts did most of the work. Lewis & Clark had shown the way. Read the history of places like Weston and Clay County (Jesse James home).

Well, the immigrants would probably go through Ellis Island first, and then on a covered wagon to Missouri.

Wagons, covered wagons and horses. I believe there was at least a partial railroad system and the Mississippi River. Trains and boats would probably have been used by wealthier people.
