I have the Belkin Wireless G Router and I was wondering if the Notebook Card will work on a desktop PC since the local Wal-Mart seems to be out of the desktop cards.

No, because a "notebook card" is designed to fit in the slot on the side of a notebook and a "desktop card" is designed to fit in the slot on a motherboard. They are two physically different items.

If you install a PCMCI adapter on your PC. You can get it for $70-80 but an internal PCI adapter will cost you less than that.

TigerDirect sells PCMCIA card adapters for the PC. Not sure how well they work, but you can still use PCMCIA cards in the pc at least. Otherwise it is useless to buy a PCMCIA card without an adapter
