I think Alfie is cutest

Those names won't age well - they are cute baby names but won't suit a grown man. Can you imagine a high court judge called "Alfie" or "Ollie"? No neither can I. I can imagine one called "Alfred" or "Oliver" though.

I don't like shortened forms of names being given as full names. "Ollie" might sound cute on a baby, but won't serve him well when he's a 50 year old businessman to be called "Ollie"! He would prefer Oliver then.

Name him Oliver and call him Ollie for short.

Alfie just makes me think of shane Richie on Eastenders. Ugh.

EDIT: sorry but I have to point out to the poster who complained about Alfie/Alfred being an "old man's name", well thats just crap. My son's name is an "old man's name" - Arthur, but we chose it as its actually very beautiful and has meaning to us (King Arthur, Celtic Legend). Its only considered an "old man's name" by some people as it isn't used a lot these days and was popular around 70 years ago, hence a lot of Arthurs are older.

But times and fashions change. 40 years ago, Benjamin, Joshua and Noah would have been "old man names" and now they are fashionable baby names!! Everything comes around again. The names that are fashionable today will one day be "old man's names" and another set of names will have come back into fashion!

Alfie! It's perfect for a baby and a grown man.. when can you really imagine a 70 year old called Ollie?

Ollie is so cute! I know quite a few people who have called there kid Alfie over the past 5 years, very popular but to be honest i don't like it.

Well, I choose Alfie. Why? Because this name reminds me of a historical person: King Alfred the Great.

Ollie, well... it sounds cute, but still reminds me of a character obsessed with football from a TV cartoon.

I like Alfie. It was the name of the main character on a show i liked, My Brother and Me. Ollie is cute too, though. But personally I'd prefer the full names Alfred and Oliver and use Alfie and Ollie as nicknames because while they're both adorable for babies/children, i don't think either really carries through as an "adult" name. But they are both really cute baby names, though

Alfie - definitely, so cute! Ollie reminds me of Ollie the Owl.
