the sum of two integers is greater than 12. One integer is 10 less than twice the other. What are the least values of the integers?

numbers are x and y
x+y>12
but (x-10)=2y
x=2y+10

2y+10+y>12
3y>2
y>2/3

therefore y min is 1
and x min is 12

x = one intger
y = other integer
x+y>12
y = 2x-10
Thus x+2x -10 >12
3x> 22
x > 7 1/3, so x =/> 8 so y would have to be 6
The required numbers are 6 and 8
