Whiskey or Bourbon?
Big difference!!! Many true whiskey drinkers like it neat, about ½ and ½ with water. Me, I like my whiskey over a couple of ice cubes for sipping.
Now what is the difference? Whiskey is a single malt scotch (Malted Barley) and bourbon is a blend of several grains.
So your questions is kind of a bit off. You say you like Wild Turkey 101. Well Wild Turkey is a blend. So it is a bourbon and not a whiskey.
Now to you question, what kind of whisky do I like? I really like “The Macallan, Anniversary Malt (25 Years Old)”, however I will settle for several others. “Bruichladdich Islay Single Malt” or “Royal Lochnagar”
There are so many good whiskeys’ it is hard to settle on just one. A lot of them I can’t even spell correctly and so won’t mention them. I wanted to try Glenlivet when I was in England. Espesically when I found out there is such a large distillery in Glenlivet County, England. However time did not allow a trip there.
So now, when it comes to bourbon. I like Early Times, however I have had a few shots of Wild Turkey in my day…
I hope this helps…

Maker's Mark. Or any of the small batch Kentucky bourbons, like Knob Creek and Basil Hayden.

Caol Ila is probably my favorite, but I certainly won't complain about Laphroaig or Talisker.
