After an early thaw one year up at Red Rock (in Las Vegas) there was a waterfall off of one of the outcrops where the Pauite Indians once lived. It was a little dangerous, but we managed to hike up above it and get the view from both angles. I'll never forget it no matter how much closer the city creeps into the area.

In Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho (and/or Montana?), Canada. Several of these ypu can even walk around behind. Some have bridges or viewing platforms quite close (get wet from spray) in front. I love waterfalls. My Grandfather had a fairly large one on his property, that he donated to a State park after his death. ;-))
