With the fall of the Berlin wall, and hence the fall of the Soviet Communist Puppet goverment, came the fall of any chance for another communist take over, and after this came the fall of the Soviet Union. Is there a German Communist Party, Yes, does it still exist, Yes, is it in power, or is in any hope of even acheiving power, No.
