BLACK AND WHITE CANNOT BE COLORS ONLY BECAUSE THEY ARE BOTH IN BLANK STATES. BLACK IS FOR DARK AND WHITE IS FOR LIGHT AND ANY OTHER COLOR IS IN BETWEEN THE BOTH ENDS.

Black is the absence of all color.
White is the presence of all color.

So black is not a color and answers half of the question.

However, since white is a mixture of all colors it would be no different than any other color resulting from mixing 2 or more other colors.

Just curious, what is the second non-color?

There is no such thing. Black and white are both colors. Colors are wavelengths of light, and objects that are true black absorb all wavelengths, and objects that are white reflect all wavelengths. However, both the words "black" and "white" are words describe the appearance or hue of the object, and therefore they both have versions or hues which are actual colors, for all intents and purposes.

Either that, or Crayola can be in trouble for falsely stating the number of colors in their box of crayons.

Black & white aren`t colors. Basically, because white is all colors and black is no color.
