I'm writing a paper on whether or not the US should make abortion illegal and I'd like to compare my views to the views of others. Are you for or against abortion and why?

Being pro choice saves the lifes of loved and living children. If you spend time and money saving a fetus, that is time and money that cannot be spent saving children that are already here. Being pro life causes the death of 12 children for each fetus saved.

It's such a tricky issue! I agree with Go Blue...if abortion isn't murder why is killing a pregnant mother a double murder?? Doesn't make sense.
Some people say that mothers should have the right to chose, but I don't buy that and here is the reason. Getting pregnant is a CONSEQUENCE for a poor choice (poor, only if you don't want to be pregnant). So they DO have the right to chose whether or not they have unprotected sex, but getting pregnant is a consequence. People shouldn't be able to pick and chose their consequences when they make a bad choice! They should deal with them! I am pro choice in choosing your actions, but I am definitely not pro choice in chosing your consequences.
If you are pro abortion, have you ever heard a baby's heart beat? Have you ever felt one kick? Have you ever seen an ultrasound? It's murder no matter how you like to sugar-coat it.

My view on abortion is that it is a complicated issue and there is no one-size-fits-all answer. Ultimately, though, I believe a woman has the right to choose what she wants to do with her unborn child.

I don't like abortion, but the alternative is worse. Back alley abortions were horrible. We need more women to close their legs or more emphasis needs to be on birth control.

It needs to be legal and available. I wish there weren't a need for it, but if it's the first trimester and you're in a "if I can just get rid of this I'll never do it again!" pickle, It should be absolutely ok. And if you think it's not, I will assume you are vegetarian, never squash bugs, and have never been in this situation.

It should be illegal. Why does the law give a person a double murder conviction when they kill a pregnant women. Abortion is murder, it's stopping a beating heart. I dont care when in the pregnancy it occurs, it's murder.

Choose life, your mom did!!!

Pro choice, at least in the first trimester.

I'm for it because I can't see any harm in aborting future liberal Democrats.

Totally against it. The bible forbids it. Because its like killing someone believe it or not. Once the baby is made it counts as a person because it has life. so thats like tAKING A LIFE. hORRIBLE.
