Everything. It is an extension of me. I use it for business, for shopping, for chatting, use our web cams to talk one on one, taxes, financial planning, menus, caledars, just about everything but the kitchen sink!!!!

Finding out how much it will cost to buy and maintain a piece of rainforest somewhere in the world.
Also, I am researching 17th century female poets, and the computer is good for that.
Anything I am puzzled about, or concerned about, or interested in, I use the computer.
I rarely shop online (because I rarely shop), and I don't use chat rooms because my son told me that they can be quite risky and dangerous.
So basically I research. Tonight I researched the Liverpool Care Pathway because I work in a care home and I need to know how to keep terminal (non-cancer) residents from going into hospital in their last days. I want to be able to care for them at the nursing home, I don't want any of them to die in hospital.
So that's it. I also use email of course to keep in touch with all kinds of people.

I bank online. I get directions to places, get the weather, send and receive mail. I have skype, so I could make calls, although I've only used it once(other phones are easier). Not all that much really. I expect it will only increase until I rot.

when I was heavily involved in the on line dating I used it to communicate with thousands of people I would never meet.Yes ,met a fair few but spoke to thousands.Looking things up,and googlebashing is another use.Some times laptop gets so hot I can use it for a toaster...i think !

I write copious amounts of emails to several newspapers, send comments to their web sites, keep in touch with my daughters in Canberra, do surveys for several organizations,etc.
