Can a person sue you if they sign a paper saying there name and last name saying they won't prosecute you in regards to the reason there suing.
he could be lieng, so i need 2 be sure? adivce

Yes they can sue. If they present the facts of the case with any clarity at all they will probably win.

That paper is no good. Depending on what it is you would have to have a formal contract written up by real lawyers and most likely notarized by a notary or directive of the State.

I got tricked on something similar to this by a past landlord of mine so I learned the hard way.

One disclaimer though is that I cannot honestly say this for every State because they are different; also, the nature of the issue is important too - mainly whether or not it is Federal would be of concern.

I'm not a lawyer.

I dont believe any contract that asks you to waive any of your legal rights.......can be enforced in a court of law.

Thats what keeps attorneys busy.


I think that clause is to force you to think twice, before you DO sue them.

It would be wise to carry this contract to an attorney, and get his professional opinion now.....before you sign it.

You're already in doubt......it might save you alot of problems down the line.
