yes. I rather just say whatever because I know deep down I don't accept it.
I also feel awkward when someones apologizing for something they don't need to apologize for. I just say don't apologize.

Only when the person is apologizing for something they had no control over. If someone is apologizing over somthing legitimate, I don't fell awkward at all. I accept it and move on.
