Hey, it's pretty creepy learning that huh. Ok, do everything on a soft mat :)

With a friend:
- Ask the friend to hold you around the waist and slowly lower you down.

By yourself:
- I agree with the 1st person, walk down a wall using your hands

- Another way, which will make you bolder, lie your waist on the edge of your bed, and bend down so it's sorta like a bridge, just that you're not standing up. This can help you train how to get up too.

Always:
- Look up/between your hands *important*

- Do everything on a soft mat

- Try not to be scared, otherwise you'll hesitate and hit your head. Only do when you are mentally prepared.

- Do stretches involving arching before doing this.
- Keep your arms straight (your legs can bend, heh duh :D)

I feel nice so I'll throw in an advice on standing up from bridge too :).

Standing up from bridge:
- Moving your hands closer to your feet (your body doesn't stretch so far) will make it easier to get up from that position.

- Look at your hands/in between your hands

- Lean your weight onto your hips and push them forward when you want to get up. Forward as in where your feet are. *important*

Hope this helps, good luck :)

First find a wall and lean back and start walking your hands down the wall until you get to the bottom . Its reeely easy this way, when i was learning i did this and i got it in a day... Good luck..you will get it!!

the first thing you need to do is stretch your body when your set lay on a mat on your back the put your hands behind your head and lift your feet up in the air and do the same with your arms then put up your back bending and then you have a backbend

You're supposed to look back at where you're going, and have your hands out to land.
Never worked for me though; I was terrified! But that's what the coach said to do.
