Yes. I put a couple of others ahead of Governor Richardson but he's a solid guy who would make a fine President.

Yes, as a conservative I would say Richardson is the most qualified candidate running, in that he has many of the assets that are needed to be the next president.

1. He has a proven successful executive experience.
2. He has been a diplomat can help repair the standing of the US in the world.
3. He has knowledge of the energy sector at a time when Americans need to drastically change how we consume energy and where we get it from.
4. Lastly he is seen and in practice a moderate that has the ability to work with both political parties.

Sadly though if he dose not win or come in second place in the first few primaries he dose not stand a chance.

Absolutely not. He isn't fit to be the governor of NM let alone the president of the US. He's all talk and no action. As an example when he ran for governor of NM he claimed he was the education governor, yet NM ranks 48th in education after 7 years in office. He also claims the state has no money for various projects, but used taxpayer money to buy a "state jet" that rarely gets used.

About a year ago his motorcade was stopped by an Albuquerque police officer because they were traveling at well over 100MPH and the officer that stopped him got reprimanded. If his motorcade can't communicate with APD how can he effectively communicate with those he would need to in an emergency, not too mention how hypocritical that whole situation is.

Lastly, I've met him several times and during a public Q&A I asked him a very simple, direct question about education, and he stared me in the face and said next question. If he can't answer a simple question from a college student (at the time) he isn't fit too hold any public office, but I digress. Just read what John Dehndal has to say about him.

F#%k Bill Richardson.

The only way I would vote for Richardson was if there were no third party candidates running and the Republicans
nominated one of their top tier candidates. Richardson has done a poor job as Governor of New Mexico and he was one of the original politicians who rejected term limitations (yes, I do remember that & its important to me). He has gone South big time on the immigration issue, another of my issues.

Honestly, I liked him at first because he ran New Mexico somewhat conservatively by cutting their state taxes and making the area more pro-business.

But since he has been camaigning, he has swung so far to the left he is not being the governor with the excellent reputation but selling himself to anybody for votes. I don't like him much at all now. He should have just stayed the way he was and he would likely be climbing in the polls as at least some Democrat voters regain their senses. But with Bill as he is now (kissing butts), they have no reason to back him today.

At this point, anyone with a giant D in front of their name or Ron Paul. Bill Richardson is great, but so is Joe Biden, John Edwards, hell- Even if Al Sharpton was running, I'd allow him to kick this donkey back to the White House. (from the 04 DNC Convention). (also I para phrased it).

I like him much better then the so-called top tier candidates, but he flipped flopped on the issue of Iraq, at one point he supported Biden's plan then he changed his position.. My primary vote goes to Ron Paul, but if Richardson wins the democratic nomination, I may vote for him in the general election..

If he won in the Primaries and was up against Giuliani in the General Election, Yes I'd vote for him.

I'm voting for Obama in the primaries though.
