how do you convert improper fractions to decimals? thanks :)))

Divide the numerator (top number) by the denominator (bottom number.

ie 9/7 is 9 divided by 7 = 1.286

for example,you av a fraction of 21/4
21/4=5 remainder1
=5whole no 1/4
you don't have to change the whole no to decimal
all u av to do is just change ur fraction to decimal and add to the whole no
1/4 to decimal

divide such as 1/2 1 in to 2 = 2.0 and so forth
